The Opportunity Scholarship Award will cover your tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meals at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree.
The Award is renewable each year – you simply have to meet the continuing eligibility criteria – including continuous full-time enrollment (more than 12 credits per term) and a college GPA of 3.0. If you struggle, your Scholar Advisor will be there to help you get back on track.

The Ron Brown Scholar Program (RBSP) honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans. The 2018 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen.
Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.
The 20 top finalists will participate in an all expenses paid Leadership Weekend in Chicago during which they’ll interview with the national judges. These 20 finalists will be vying for two first-place awards of $50,000; two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000.

The Creative Writing Program and the Department of English of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are pleased to announce the Thomas Wolfe Scholarship, which offers full four-year financial support to one incoming freshman per year.
The Thomas Wolfe Scholarship's level of support is comparable to that of the University's well-known Morehead Scholarships. Whereas the Morehead Scholarship places broad emphasis on a candidate's exemplary leadership, community service, academic excellence, and physical vigor, the Thomas Wolfe Scholarship seeks to identify and reward students with exceptionally focused literary ability and promise.

This scholarship program was created in 1995 to recognize students in middle level and high school grades who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. These prestigious awards, sponsored by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), are presented annually on the local, state and national levels.
Interested students should submit completed applications to their school, or the head of one of the following local organizations: a Girl Scout council, county 4-H organization, American Red Cross chapter, YMCA, or affiliate of HandsOn Network. Applications and their parents or guardians also must complete the applications form's signature page.

"Nuestra Juventud," Univision 40's Scholarship Program recognizes the academic achievements and leadership qualities among Hispanic High School Seniors (12th grade) in the WUVC-Univision 40 viewing area.
Eligiblity:Candidates must be entering the 12th grade, must be applying to a college/university in the fall of 2018 and must be of Hispanic descent.
Criteria: The winners will be chosen based on Leadership, Academic Achievement, Hardship and Character.
Application process: Candidates must submit a copy of the school transcripts; a completed application; answers to the questions below (max. three pages may be used to answer the questions) and a clear picture, all in one packet.

Golden Door scholarship recipients receive up to four-year tuition and room & board scholarships to DACA and TPS students from tuition lock-out states all over the country!

The $500 Joseph M. Dooley Scholarship was created recently by a practicing personal injury attorney who wants to help highly qualified college students to pay for their college expenses. The Raleigh Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities will award two $1000 scholarships to students with documented disabilities. Applicants must be residents of the City of Raleigh and must be enrolled in or have been accepted to an accredited undergraduate post secondary school, college, trade school or other institution of higher learning.
The selection of scholarship recipients shall be based upon academic performance, financial need, character, school and community activities, honors or awards, and ability to express him/herself in written form, personal motivation and/or leadership potential.
The Scholarship Application must be received by The Raleigh Mayor’s Committee by Friday, May 31, 2017. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the July Raleigh Mayor’s Committee meeting. This program will provide an investment in the capability of our disability community at large.
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students must write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Applications are now being accepted for the annual Friends of the Page-Walker Scholarship, which is awarded to a high school senior residing in Cary.
The $1000 one-time award is given to a high school senior who is a Cary resident, and may be used for any educational-related expenses. In addition, the recipient’s name will be displayed on a permanent plaque at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center.

Holt Brothers and Wake Tech Community College announce the 2017 Holt Brothers VMCCA Endowed Scholarship. Established in 2016, the Holt Brothers VMCCA Endowed Scholarship supports minority students who successfully complete their studies at the Vernon Malone College and Career Academy and wish to matriculate to Wake Tech to pursue additional studies. This scholarship is awarded with respect to both financial need and academic performance.
All Applied Engineering and Technology programs are eligible, with preference given to students pursuing a degree in Construction Management. There will be one scholarship recipient presented with a onetime award of $1,000.

S&ME Inc. and Wake Tech Community College announce the 2017 S&ME VMCCA Endowed Scholarship. These scholarships, named for S&ME Inc., will be used for students who successfully complete their studies at the Vernon Malone Academy and wish to matriculate to Wake Tech to pursue additional studies. This College Award is granted annually to a Wake County high school graduate. Foundation scholarships make pursuing an education affordable for many and enable Wake Tech to attract and retain talented students. Scholarships may be earmarked to assist diploma, certificate, or associate degree students in any curriculum program; and may be based on financial need or academic merit according to donor preference. Donors may establish an endowment or fund a scholarship annually to acknowledge student needs or accomplishments, honor or memorialize someone, or create a corporate presence at Wake Tech.
Applications for 2017-2018 scholarship awards will be accepted between March 1st and April 30th!
