The deadline for these applications is April 22, 2017. Application should be submitted or postmarked by the due date for consideration. Any incomplete or late application will be discarded.
The Phebe Harlan Emmons Grant-in-Aid of $1,000 is a gift from the Gamma Eta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. This Grant-in-Aid is given in memory of Gamma Eta Chapter member, Phebe Harlan Emmons, a Kinston native who was active in her community, the state, and who was the only member to date to serve as President of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. She was a key woman educator, dedicated to all facets of education and the educator’s arena, always making a difference in every area.
Eligibility: A Wake County female high school senior with good scholastic and leadership records is eligible for the scholarship. The student selected to receive the scholarship must be accepted to Bennett College for Woman before the scholarship is actually awarded.
Procedure: A student must submit a formal application to be considered for the $2000 Scholarship to Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, NC. One thousand dollars will be paid the first semester and one thousand will be paid the second semester the student is enrolled if a minimum 2.0 GPA is obtained and a transcript is submitted to the chapter after completion of the 1st semester at Bennett College.

The Woman’s Club of Raleigh is pleased to announce a cash award that will recognize young women who are in their senior year of high school. The Woman’s Club of Raleigh is pleased to announce a cash award that will recognize young women who are in their senior year of high school.
Each of the students selected will be recognized for her achievement and her impact/legacy in the designated area of work in one of seven Community Service Programs (CSP) of The Woman’s Club of Raleigh:
The seven honorees will receive a cash award in the amount of $1000 each at the Raleigh Young Women of Achievement Banquet to be held at The Woman’s Club of Raleigh on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 6:00 p.m.
Deadline: February 17, 2017
The scholarships are offered for full-time undergraduate study at accredited four-year colleges and universities in the USA. Up to 30 scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded annually, 15 to graduating high school seniors and 15 to current college students.
