KWF Alumnae was chartered in 1996, thanks to the efforts of phenomenal women who saw the need to empower the citizens in Northeast Raleigh and rural areas of Wake County. Because of these hard-working women, the membership has grown expeditiously to 180 members.
The alumnae of the Knighdale-Wake Forest Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. offer the following scholarships to eligible students (click on the Scholarship Title for link to application):

Foundation scholarships make pursuing an education affordable for many and enable Wake Tech to attract and retain talented students. Scholarships may be earmarked to assist diploma, certificate, or associate degree students in any curriculum program; and may be based on financial need or academic merit according to donor preference. Donors may establish an endowment or fund a scholarship annually to acknowledge student needs or accomplishments, honor or memorialize someone, or create a corporate presence at Wake Tech.
Applications for 2019-2020 scholarship awards will be accepted between March 1st and April 30th!

The Fort Bragg Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) again has college scholarships it will award. The total scholarship fund for 2019 is estimated at $12,000. Scholarships will be awarded to the most deserving applicants based on academic achievement, participation in extracurricular
activities, and their desire to pursue an engineering-based degree in college.
The amount of the scholarship award will be based on the merits of the applicant. There will be one award given to an applicant, selected by the committee, which has the potential to be a perpetual award for the duration of their undergraduate efforts, for a maximum of four years. All other awards are one-time awards.
After selections have been made, winning individuals will be contacted by the Scholarship Committee. The winners will be presented their scholarship checks at the June 25, 2019 membership luncheon meeting of the Fort Bragg SAME Post.
Our Lodge will provide a $750 scholarship to a student who satisfies the following criteria:
The Lodge scholarship committee will review all complete applications and make the selection. The student who is chosen along with his/her family will be invited to the Lodge Family Picnic on June 2 to receive the award presented by the Lodge President.
Alpha Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. hosts a Debutante Program tradition which seeks to promote an enriching program to include dynamic educational, cultural, and social activities and to provide scholarships to aid in the educational goals of young women.
The program seeks 11th and 12th grade young woman who have a demonstrated track record of service in their schools and community.

Each year the State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) Scholarship Foundation, Inc. offers academic scholarships to the dependents of SEANC members.
The Scholarship Foundation will award 49 annual scholarships for the 2019-2020 school year.
Only SEANC members in good standing, their spouses and/or dependent child(ren) are eligible to receive scholarships. Membership in teachers’ organizations or the State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) does not constitute eligibility for a SEANC Foundation Scholarship.

If you have a student who is interested in applying for a scholarship, but whose parent is not a member of SEANC, please direct them to www.seanc.org to join. The parent must be a state or local government employee or retired state employee to join. Membership dues must be paid current prior to April 15, 2019.
Financial need applicants must include a copy of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Student Aid Report (SAR) Summary without an asterisk.
The student must be enrolled as a full-time student for the 2019-2020 school year.
The Western Wake Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is committed to helping young men and women succeed academically. This includes ensuring that students have access to the financial resources they need to obtain a college education.
Scholarships are available to high school seniors who live in the following Western Wake Alumnae Chapter service areas: Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs and Morrisville in Wake County. To be eligible to receive an award, recipients must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college, university, or community college during the 2019-2020 academic year. Verification of enrollment must be provided.

The Wake County Extension and Community Association will present the Maude P. McInnes Extension & Community Educational Fund $500.00 Scholarship to a graduating high school senior.
The following criteria will be used to select the award winner:

The WCPSS Future Teachers program was started in 2015 to recruit and develop WCPSS’ internal student talent. Future Teacher participants are WCPSS high school graduates who intend to pursue careers in education and who plan to commit to teaching with WCPSS for 3 years upon completion of their teacher preparation programs.

The local Beta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa is offering one or more scholarships of at least $2,000 to a Wake County Public School System senior who plans to enter the field of education.
The applicants should return the completed application packet to the Scholarship Committee by April 1st. The recipient will be notified by May 6th. The presentation of the scholarship award will be held on the evening of May 21st. The recipient and/or a family member will need to be present to accept the award.

Christ Saves Hearts Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce our 3rd CSH Annual Scholarship Program for High School Seniors and College Freshman in the Triangle area of the following counties - Durham, Chatham, Johnston, Orange, and Wake. We are looking for minority high school seniors and college freshman who have been impacted with heart/ cardiovascular disease rather directly or indirectly with an immediate family member.
