At Huggable, we know that being a new mother isn’t a walk in the park. For the Huggable Supermom Scholarship, we focus on supporting single moms, children of single moms, or people whose lives have been impacted in positive ways by single moms. Put simply, the Huggable Supermom Scholarship is a student scholarship designed to support single mothers and those who support them and benefit from their love.
With this program, our mission is to make things a little easier for single mothers and their loved ones. We’re giving scholarship winners $2,000 (for college winners) or $1,000 (for high school winner) to cover their costs as they pursue their degrees, as well as a year of free high-quality, organic baby formula from Huggable. Not a mother right now? No problem—we make it easy for you to defer your year of free formula until you're ready, or to donate it to a friend or loved on who is ready now.
The Huggable Supermom Scholarship will be awarded to one college winner and one high school winner every 6 months. The application and selection timeline is as follows:
First Application Cycle Timeline

Each year, the Junior Woman’s Club of Raleigh awards a one-time scholarship in honor of Sallie Southall Cotten, a founder of the North Carolina Federation of Women’s Clubs.
For 2019 – 2020, the scholarship amount is: $2,500.
The scholarship is open to all high school seniors from any Wake County high school. Applicants must attend a college or university in North Carolina in order to receive the scholarship.
Members of our Club’s Education Community Service Program will review all applications received and select a group of finalists to interview. One winner will be awarded the Junior Woman’s Club of Raleigh’s Sallie Southall Cotten Scholarship.
Our Club’s scholarship recipient will compete at the District VI scholarship competition. The recipient is expected to attend the GFWC-NC District VI Arts Festival to be interviewed by a panel of judges and possibly win additional scholarship monies of $1,000 (Club Year 2019 – 2020). The District VI Arts Festival for Club Year 2019 – 2020 is Saturday, February 15, 2020, 8am – 12pm at First Baptist Church Raleigh, 99 N Salisbury St. Raleigh, NC 27603.
The winner from each District in North Carolina goes on to compete for the State Scholarship of $12,000 which consists of $3,000 per year for four years!

The Brockman Scholars Program invites applications for a merit-based full-ride scholarship that covers five years of study at the College Station campus of Texas A&M University.
The Brockman Scholarship supports four years of undergraduate study in an approved Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM) program followed by the one-year MS Business graduate degree for non-business majors at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School.
Top students are encouraged to apply for this prestigious scholarship via the application portal at www.brockmanfoundation.org.
Applications for study beginning in the 2020 – 2021 academic year are open on September 1, 2019. The application deadline is 5pm United States Central Time on December 1, 2019.
The Brockman Scholarship covers tuition fees in full, room and board, transportation, books and supplies, and an overseas study opportunity. The BSP offers around 50 new scholarships each year.
American citizens resident anywhere in the world may apply for the scholarship. International (non-US) students may apply if they can obtain a visa to study in the US. All applicants, including international students, must have an SAT or ACT score (equivalents are not accepted).
