The Achievement Scholarship for Refugees and Immigrants in Wake County will provide financial awards for refugee and immigrant high school graduates who reside in Wake County to continue their education in a post-secondary setting. The goal is to support these students on a pathway to finding meaningful employment and becoming contributory members of their communities and adopted country.

North Carolina is a "locked out state," meaning that DACA/DREAMers are ineligible to receive in-state tuition at state colleges/universities.

The Opportunity Scholarship Award will cover your tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meals at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree.
The Award is renewable each year – you simply have to meet the continuing eligibility criteria – including continuous full-time enrollment (more than 12 credits per term) and a college GPA of 3.0. If you struggle, your Scholar Advisor will be there to help you get back on track.

Golden Door scholarship recipients receive up to four-year tuition and room & board scholarships to DACA and TPS students from tuition lock-out states all over the country!
Scholarship recipients will receive funding to cover up to full tuition, room and board for a four-year degree at Golden Door partner schools, beginning Fall semester, 2018. Students who have applied to or are interested in other colleges should also apply. We will support students at other schools on a case-by-case basis.
