The local Beta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa is offering one or more scholarships of at least $2,000 to a Wake County Public School System senior who plans to enter the field of education.
The applicants should return the completed application packet to the Scholarship Committee by April 1st. The recipient will be notified by May 6th. The presentation of the scholarship award will be held on the evening of May 21st. The recipient and/or a family member will need to be present to accept the award.
The Future Educator Scholarship is open to any student who will graduate from an accredited high school in Wake County, who expects to enroll in an institution of higher education next fall with a degree in education, and who meets the eligibility requirements. This scholarship is a one-time (non-renewable) scholarship in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500). The Future Educator Scholarship is sponsored by the Alpha Theta Chapter of the North Carolina Alpha Delta Kappa, an international sorority for women educators. **All application materials must be received by April 1, 2020! Lenoir-Rhyne University is pleased to announce the fifth year of the LR Teaching Scholars scholarship program. We are currently recruiting exemplary high school seniors to receive this prestigious scholarship and develop the skills to become effective teacher leaders for our public schools.
Priority consideration will be given to students applying by January. However, we strongly encourage students to apply immediately as spaces for this scholarship program are limited. High School seniors should apply at edu.lr.edu/teachingscholars.
This program provides scholarships of $5,500 per year for four years for incoming freshmen. These scholarships are awarded in addition to other methods of grant and aid for which students are eligible.

Established in 2017 by the Brown Family, The Raleigh-Wake Chapter of the NCCU Alumni Association honors the legacy of Muriel Brown, a retired WCPSS teacher in Early Childhood Education, NCCU alumni, and Raleigh-Wake Alumni Chapter Member.
Scholarship is renewable annually as long as the recipient maintains a GPA of 3.0 or above and remained enrolled as a student at NCCU.
