The Ron Brown Scholar Program (RBSP) honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans. RBSP competitively awards Ron Brown Scholars four-year $40,000 scholarships ($10,000 each year) to the most talented and economically-challenged high school seniors who demonstrate a keen interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and global citizenship – the four pillars of the late Ronald H. Brown’s mission to uplift people of all races, cultures and ethnicities – especially our disadvantaged youth.

The Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen at the time of completing the application (legal residents are not eligible).
Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.
The 20 top finalists will participate in an all expenses paid Leadership Weekend in Chicago during which they’ll interview with the national judges. These 20 finalists will be vying for two first-place awards of $50,000; two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000.

To be eligible for nomination as a potential Cheatham-White Scholarship candidate, a person must satisfy all of the following criteria:
Candidates for Cheatham-White Scholarships shall be selected on the basis of academic merit, honorable character, outstanding leadership potential, and a demonstrable commitment to service. Financial need shall not be a consideration.
Students must complete the application to NCCU and/or NC A&T prior to November 1st. If a student is interested in the VMCCA nomination for this scholarship, he/she must see a Counselor prior to October 20th.
Students who do not receive the VMCCA nomination, but feel they are good candidates for this scholarship are eligible to complete a Self-Nomination form.
The College of Textiles at North Carolina State University is now accepting endorsements for our Centennial Scholarship program, one of the largest college-based scholarship programs at NC State. Please endorse your best and brightest students for this dynamic scholarship opportunity by November 15.
The Centennial Scholarship program is designed for students who are interested in career fields such as engineering, business management, design, chemistry, polymers, forensics, medical fields, fashion merchandising and retail management.
Competitive applicants demonstrate high academic achievement, strong leadership qualities, involvement in extracurricular activities and civic engagement and an interest in textile-related careers. For scholarship consideration, students must submit a NC State admissions application by the October 15 deadline.
Purpose of Scholarships
AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.
Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.
Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.
You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
How to Apply
Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:
When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?

Morehead-Cain was the first merit-based scholarship program established in the United States. At Morehead-Cain, scholars are chosen based on four criteria: Leadership, Moral Force of Character, Scholarship, and Physical Vigor. In each high school senior class, there are a select few who embody these criteria and set a higher standard for the school community.

Since 2003, the Raleigh Jaycees have awarded scholarships to Wake County students who have demonstrated leadership through community service.
This year, we will be awarding $1000 to a student who enrolls at a four-year college or university and $1000 to a student who enrolls at a technical or community college.
