The Fort Bragg Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) again has college scholarships it will award. The total scholarship fund for 2020 is estimated at $7,500.00. Scholarships
will be awarded to the most deserving applicants based on academic achievement, participation in extracurricular activities, and their desire to pursue an engineering-based degree in college.
The amount of the scholarship award will be based on the merits of the applicant. All awards are one-time awards. Past winners, and past applicants that met the eligibility requirements are welcome to apply again for the scholarship.

In mid-December, the Goodnight Scholars Program will issue approximately 700-800 invitations to apply to prospective first-year NC State students who have applied for fall 2019 admission. This invitation gives each student access to the Goodnight Scholars Program online application. The invitation is sent to the email address listed on the student’s general NC State application. The application is accessible via Pack ASSIST.

Prospective NC State students who wish to be considered for an invitation to apply may nominate themselves for consideration. This form also allows students to share unique academic and/or financial circumstances that they feel may cause them to be overlooked for an invitation to apply to our Program. The self-nomination form for the Class of 2023 will open on November 1st.
The Brockman Scholars Program invites applications for a merit-based full-ride scholarship that covers five years of study at the College Station campus of Texas A&M University.
The Brockman Scholarship supports four years of undergraduate study in an approved Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM) program followed by the one-year MS Business graduate degree for non-business majors at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School.
Top students are encouraged to apply for this prestigious scholarship via the application portal at www.brockmanfoundation.org.
Applications for study beginning in the 2020 – 2021 academic year are open on September 1, 2019. The application deadline is 5pm United States Central Time on December 1, 2019.
The Brockman Scholarship covers tuition fees in full, room and board, transportation, books and supplies, and an overseas study opportunity. The BSP offers around 50 new scholarships each year.
American citizens resident anywhere in the world may apply for the scholarship. International (non-US) students may apply if they can obtain a visa to study in the US. All applicants, including international students, must have an SAT or ACT score (equivalents are not accepted).

The College of Textiles at North Carolina State University is now accepting endorsements for our Centennial Scholarship program, one of the largest college-based scholarship programs at NC State. Please endorse your best and brightest students for this dynamic scholarship opportunity by November 15.
The Centennial Scholarship program is designed for students who are interested in career fields such as engineering, business management, design, chemistry, polymers, forensics, medical fields, fashion merchandising and retail management.
Competitive applicants demonstrate high academic achievement, strong leadership qualities, involvement in extracurricular activities and civic engagement and an interest in textile-related careers. For scholarship consideration, students must submit a NC State admissions application by the October 15 deadline.
Opportunity for 11th graders!
Wake Electric is sponsoring a one-week, all expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. for the 2019 Youth Tour running from June 15 – 21, 2019. Winners must go on the Washington Trip to be eligible for the $1,000 scholarship.
Winners also receive a $1,000 scholarship for use at a North Carolina college or university, community college, vocational or technical school.
The Trip: Students who attend the Youth Tour will join 1,500 high school students from across the U.S. to learn about electric cooperatives, American history, and the U.S. government. Students will also visit the historic sites and federal facilities of the nation’s capital, as well as spend time with their congressional delegations.
The Scholarship: The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded the following year upon proof of enrollment in a North Carolina college or university.
The deadline to apply is December 12, 2018 by 5:00 p.m. The application must be in our office by the deadline. Applicants will be notified of their status in mid-January, 2019.
